Terms, Clearly.

The practical rules for using this site and working with Kaos.

Terms And Conditions

Effective 1 August 2026

These terms govern use of this website. Paid project work begins only under a separate written proposal or agreement. If that document conflicts with these terms, the signed project agreement controls.

01

Scope And Acceptance

By using this website, you agree to these website terms. Sending an inquiry starts a conversation; it does not create a client relationship, reserve availability or require either party to proceed.

02

Proposals And Agreements

A project begins when Kaos and the client accept a written proposal, statement of work or other agreement. That document should identify the scope, deliverables, schedule, fees, payment stages, review rounds and ownership terms for the engagement.

03

Quotes, Scope And Changes

  • A quote remains open only for the period stated in it.
  • Pricing is based on the information and assumptions available when quoted.
  • Work outside the agreed scope may change the fee, schedule or both.
  • Material changes must be agreed in writing before the additional work begins.
04

Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for:

  • providing accurate information, assets and access needed for the work;
  • making decisions and supplying consolidated feedback on time;
  • confirming approvals in writing; and
  • having the right to use all text, images, trademarks and other supplied material.

Client delays may move dependent milestones and the final delivery date.

05

Fees And Payment

Fees, deposits, payment dates, taxes and approved third-party costs are set out in the project agreement or invoice. Kaos may pause work or withhold final delivery while an overdue amount remains unpaid. The client remains responsible for work completed and approved costs already committed.

06

Timelines And Delivery

Schedules are good-faith estimates unless the project agreement expressly makes a date fixed. Timely delivery depends on access, content, feedback, approvals and third-party services. Final files, formats and launch support are limited to the agreed deliverables.

07

Intellectual Property

The client keeps ownership of material it supplies. Kaos keeps ownership of its existing tools, methods, templates, know-how and reusable components. Rights in final, project-specific deliverables are licensed or transferred only as stated in the project agreement and after the related fees are paid in full. Third-party materials remain subject to their own licences.

08

Portfolio And Confidentiality

Unless a project agreement or confidentiality obligation says otherwise, Kaos may identify the client and present publicly released work in its portfolio, case studies and studio channels. Each party must protect confidential information received through an engagement and use it only for the agreed work or as required by law.

09

Website Use

You may not use this website to:

  • interfere with its operation, security or availability;
  • attempt unauthorised access to systems or information;
  • copy or exploit protected site content without permission; or
  • submit unlawful, misleading, abusive or malicious material.

External links and third-party services are provided for convenience and remain governed by their own terms and policies.

10

Warranties And Liability

Kaos aims to keep this website accurate and available, but does not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every purpose. Project-specific warranties, remedies and liability limits belong in the written project agreement. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11

Cancellation And Events Beyond Control

Cancellation and termination rights are defined by the project agreement. If a project ends early, completed work and non-cancellable commitments remain payable. Neither party is responsible for delay caused by events reasonably beyond its control; affected dates should be reviewed in good faith.

12

Updates And Contact

If one part of these terms cannot be enforced, the remaining parts continue to apply. Kaos may update these terms as the website or studio practice changes; the effective date above will show the latest published revision. Governing law and dispute arrangements for paid work are set out in the applicable project agreement.
